Q: How can I participate in a course?
You can either send us an email at naisteehitusklubi@hotmail.com or fill out the contact form next to the course description.

Q: How long do the courses take place?
The building courses usually start on Saturday morning and end Sunday late afternoon. Sometimes we also organise 3-day-courses, that start on Friday  and end on Sunday.

Q: Where do the courses take place?
Our courses take place at our hosts place. Each workshop is hosted by a woman who needed help with a building project. Together with her we plan the course and the building, we will build. She is responsible for providing the building material, accommodation and the meals during the course. We are aiming to find hosts in different parts of Estonia.

Q: Do I need to find my own accommodation?
Accommodation is usually included, unless stated otherwise. Depending on the host, accommodation can be in beds, on your own mattrass or in a tent. If you need to bring your own mattrass or camping gear, we will mention it in the course description. Of course you are also welcome to find your own accommodation.

Q: Do I need to have previous building experience?
No! Our Building Courses for Women are meant for women who have none or very little building experience. If you do have previous experience then just let us know and we can give you tasks that match with your experience level.

Q: Can I bring my own tools?
Yes, you can. Even though we do provide tools, it makes a lot of sense for you to bring your own drill, saw, measuring tape, level etc. Every power tool is slightly different and it is good to learn using your own tools.

Q: What to wear at a building course?
Please wear durable work clothes that can get dirty and you feel comfortable in. The same goes for shoes. For safety reasons please don't wear open shoes. Also bring work gloves.

Q: What languages are the courses in?
Simone will teach the courses. As she isn't a native Estonian speaker (she is German), she will teach in English. Nevertheless is the course open to everyone. We have had many participants already who do not or speak only a little English. But as all the other participants are Estonian and usually quite happy to translate, as the participants work together in teams and the courses are so hands-on it is very much possible to participate and learn everything even if you don't speak English.

Q: How can I become a host?
If you are a woman, you have a building project you need help with and would like to cooperate with NEK? Please email us at naisteehitusklubi@hotmail.com or send a message.
